Vision

The Tidewater Tech Prep Consortium's vision is to empower students with the workforce skills and knowledge needed to be lifelong learners and productive citizens who compete successfully in the global economy.

Mission

The mission of the Tidewater Tech Prep Consortium is to coordinate ongoing communication, cooperation, and collaboration between Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach public schools, Tidewater Community College and the community at large to assure student access to avenues of academic and technical education in preparation for a successful career.

What is Tech Prep?

Tech Prep is an innovative approach linking high school, college, and career preparation with business and industry.

How is College Credit Awarded?

High school graduates may receive college credit for career and technical education courses taken in high school under an articulation agreement between the members of the Tidewater Tech Prep Consortium.
