Scope of this guide:  find books, articles, and other resources with biographical information.

Using the online library catalog

There is no "biography" section in the TCC libraries. A biography of Beethoven would be classified with other books about music, Einstein with science, Steinbeck with literature, etc.  Use the library catalog to do a subject search using the person's name (last name first).  Here you will find a list of books the library owns about this person.

Literature Resource Center Full text biographies of authors and literary persons. 

OmniFile Full Text Select Indexes, abstracts, and provides full text for over 900 periodicals. Coverage includes art, education, and the humanities and social sciences.

Oxford African American Studies Center Over 4,000 biographies on African Americans.
