Global Gateway: World Culture & Resources Offers a variety of cultural resources, including two bilingual digital libraries in Russian (Meeting of Frontiers) and Spanish (Spain, the United States, and the American Frontier). Maintained by the Library of Congress.

Ethnologue Information on language names, codes, and families: approximately 6,800 different languages.

The Swahili Coast (Wonders of the African World) Cultural Close-Up: About the Swahili Language. Hear examples of everyday phrases spoken, and learn to recite poems in Swahili.
