Horticultural Science (ASHS) was established in 1903 for the promotion
of the science of horticulture.
American Horticultural Society get
connected to great gardens around the world, gardening education for
all levels of skill, sources of information on any garden subject imaginable,
a community of gardeners eager to share their experiences, other great
gardening events and activities, and much, much more.
Botanicus.org The Missouri Botanical
Garden Library has many lovely examples of 18th and 19th century botanical
literature from all around the world. While
they began digitizing some of these works in 1995, they recently decided
to expand their collection to include non-illustrated works of significant
importance to taxonomic botany.

Resources--Ohio State University Factsheet Database A browsing
and searchable database of over 5,500 horticultural factsheets
in eleven categories ranging from flowers to perennials to trees
and shrubs.

Pest Management Guidelines This site contains information on
various pests including insects, weeds, vertebrates and plant
diseases. For
each pest, it provides information on identification, biology,
impact and management.
Virginia Cooperative Extension (Virginia
