"To have another language is to
possess a second soul."
Charlemagne |
The ability to communicate
in a second language greatly increases your chances of getting a
better job in today's new globalized economy. Sign up for a Foreign
Language course and take the first step toward preparing yourself
for a brighter future!
Foreign
Languages faculty at the Norfolk campus is committed
to the notion that through the study of foreign languages, students
gain global understanding as they learn to appreciate other languages
and cultures. Our instructors are very well-trained and supportive,
they are very much aware that learning a foreign language can be
at times difficult or challenging.
For your convenience,
classes are offered days and nights. Beginning Spanish I & II
courses are offered online
as well.
All Foreign Language classes
taught at the Norfolk campus are college transfer courses (except
for SPA 16) Note: A transfer course means that its credits
transfer directly to a four-year institution. [more]
Finally, any
of our Foreign Language (transfer) courses fulfills the International
Education Requirement or can be taken as a
Humanities elective course.
