HOW TO OBTAIN YOUR FREE MICROSOFT SOFTWARE
The Business Division of the Portsmouth Campus of Tidewater Community College subscribes to the Microsoft Developers’ Network Academic Alliance (MSDNAA). As a member of this alliance, the Division can offer its students access to certain Microsoft products that are being utilized in the classroom.
At the end of the third week of each semester, students enrolled in ITD, ITE, ITN, and ITP classes that are more than 2 credits are eligible to check out or purchase Microsoft products.WHAT SOFTWARE IS INCLUDED?

The Microsoft Office Suite is NOT included in the available software. If you have the Home Version of Microsoft Office 2007, or 2010, you can obtain Microsoft Office Access 2007, or 2010.
NOTE: IT classes currently use Office 2007.
HOW TO CHECK OUT OR PURCHASE SOFTWARE
(PORTSMOUTH CAMPUS STUDENTS)
You need to log on to the following site: http://msdn02.e-academy.com/tcc_pc/ using your entire VCCS email address as your login name and the password sent to you in an email from MSDNAA.
Most products require a Product Key or Serial Number to install. You will see the Product Key at the end of the check out procedure on the Receipt Page.
To view Product Keys at a later date, log into the site. Click on Your Account. Locate the product and then click on the link under Order History. Write them down, access is only available during the current semester.

HOW TO OBTAIN YOUR PASSWORD FOR THE MSDNAA SITE
The password will be sent in an email to your VCCS email mailbox. You can access your mailbox through TCC’s home page: http://www.tcc.edu. Click on the myTCC button, enter your username and password, and then click on Gmail.
Locate the email from Tidewater Community College - pc - MSDNAA with a subject line of An account has been created for you. Your login name and password will be provided for the MSDNAA site. Your username will be the same as your VCCS email account (ex: jjones0001@email.vccs.edu).
If you were previously enrolled in an IT class at the Portsmouth Campus, you will not receive a new email.
If you do not get an email during the 5th week of the semester or if you forget your password, you can go to the MSDNAA site at: http://msdn02.e-academy.com/tcc_pc. Click on the Forget your password? link button. Enter your TCC email address and then Submit. Your password will be sent to your email.vccs.edu address.
HOW TO USE THE MSDNAA SITE TO OBTAIN SOFTWARE
Once you receive your welcome email from MSDNAA, you must complete the registration. Open the mail; click the link below Complete Your Registration. After the registration is complete, the Software page is displayed and you may begin to download software. To log in later, go to http://msdn02.e-academy.com/tcc_pc.
To obtain software, select a category. Click the icon of the software you want. Click the Add to Cart button. Sign In. Click the (Continue Shopping button or) Check Out button. The Messages Page is displayed. Read the agreement page and then click the I Accept button. The Order Page is displayed. Click the Proceed With Order button. The Receipt Page is displayed. If the software requires a Product Key, it will be listed on the Receipt Page. Print the Receipt Page. In the File Download — Security Warning dialog box, you may Run or Save the software. If the Save button is clicked, the download will be saved as an ISO image file. The ISO file must be burned to a CD/DVD before it can be installed.
The software can be used on your personal computer for the purposes of studying and research only. You cannot give or sell the software to anyone else. It cannot be used on a business computer.
