The Mousetrap-Powered Vehicle Competition ~ You are invited to attend!
When: 12:30 pm on Thursday, March 17
Where: The TCC Advanced Technology Center, Virginia Beach Campus ~ directions
The TCC Engineering Club is sponsoring a mousetrap-powered vehicle competition.
Both TCC Engineering students and ATC high school students will be competing. The cars are only powered by a single snap of a mousetrap. You will amazed at the clever designs. There will be two different races with cash prizes award for the top three finishers in each category:
- the fastest car to travel 25 ft
- the car that travels the longest distance down a tapering 150 ft lane

Truss Busting Competition

Students built cantilever trusses loaded with weight until they fail. The competition is always
a lot of fun to watch and we had structural engineers on hand to
serve as judges and offer comments.
