The Biology Department offers introductory and advanced courses for Science majors and courses, which fulfill pre-requisities for Nursing and the Health Professions.  We also offer courses, which fulfill a  Science elective for non-Science majors.

Recommended Sequence of Courses

Biology 01-  No previous Science or Biology background required

Biology 100- Students should have completed high school Biology within the past 5-7 years.

Biology 101-Students should place into English 111 or are currently taking English 111 in order to register for Biology 101.  Students should also complete  or have tested out of all developmental Math courses prior to registering for Bio 101.

Biology 102- Successful completion of Biology 101

Biology 141- Successful completion of Biology 01, 100 or 101 prior to registering for Biology 141.

Biology 142- Successful completion of Biology 141

Biology 150-Successful completion of Biology 01, 100 or 101
