1. You must first complete a TCC
Application and submit your application for admission to Tidewater Community College.
2. You may be eligible for financial
aid. Title IV Financial Aid is available for those permanent
residents and US citizens who qualify. Contact the Financial
Aid Office for details on eligibility and application
procedures.
3. Veterans benefits may also be used
to pay for ESL courses. Contact the VA
Office at your home campus for details.
4. The next step is to take the ESL Placement Test. You may want to view sample questions from the ESL Placement Test. New students will take the ESL Placement Test at the Testing Center.
5. After you have taken the ESL
Placement Test, you must meet with a Counselor who will review your scores and determine
the classes you will take. ESL students are not able toregister without first meeting with a Counselor.
6. The next step is to register for
the courses you will take. Registration is in the Princess Anne Building.
7. The last step is to pay for your
classes at the Business Office, which is also located in the Princess Anne Building.
8. If you have college credit from
a school in your country, you may want to have your foreign
college transcripts evaluated.
9. Students are urged to purchase the books for thier courses before the first day of class. However, students should keep their receipts in case they must return the books for any reason. |
