Faculty: Meet Your Instructors
In order
to teach English as a Second Language at Tidewater Community College,
an instructor must either hold an MA (Master of Arts) degree in
Teaching English as a Second Language or have completed eighteen hours ogf graduate work in teaching English as a second language. Many of our instructors
hold more than one advanced degree, and these degrees are often in
a variety of disciplines. Many of our instructors have also taught
English as a Second Language overseas, maybe even in your native country!
