I am a native of Tidewater, though I have managed to make it out a couple of times! I lived in Thailand, Cambodia, and a short time in London. I visited Russia for a month in what was the coldest February I've ever experienced! I loved them all, and so hoped to use my Master's to travel the world and teach English. But along the way I fell in love, got married, and chose to stay in this area where our family lives. We enjoy all that Tidewater has to offer and we look forward to raising our children here. So I enjoy the world in my own backyard by teaching English at TCC.

I love teaching and I believe in working hard though I have as much fun as possible in the classroom. However, I have been known to move a class to the park or the museum whichever is appropriate to the lesson. Presently I am working on a syllabus that will encourage students to get involved with and learn from their community.
