Program Information
The Bachelor
of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) degree meets the needs of adult
students by providing part-time study and evening and weekend classes.
This transfer program builds on students’ previous college
work and offers liberal arts courses that promote critical thinking
and analytical skills. Dedicated faculty, individual advising and
small classes provide a small college experience within a large
university.

| BIS/TCC Program Model |
- Courses will be taught on-site at TCC (location to be
determined).
- Classes in Charlottesville also are open to TCC students.
- Classes will be offered each semester: fall, spring and
summer.
- Classes will be held at night with occasional weekend
sessions.
- Students complete the program on average in four years
and can take up to seven years to finish.
- Students may be able to take a Leave of Absence when
necessary.
