Farewell Reception for Dr. Andrew Mbatiah |

| On May 18, Tidewater Community College and Norfolk State University said good-bye to a friend at a farewell reception at NSU. Dr. Andrew Mbatiah, Fulbright Scholar in Residence, joined us for the 2004/2005 academic year and brought a wealth of knowledge to the students, faculty and staff of TCC and its scholarship partner, NSU.
Dr. Mbatiah is a senior lecturer in the linguistics and African languages department of the University of Nairobi. His specialties are Swahili and African literature with an emphasis on African women’s writing. He will now return to Kenya to his wife and three children. |
