| Committee for Global Learning
The Committee for Global Learning at TCC began in the early 1980’s as the International Education Task Force and achieved full committee status as the International Education Committee in 1999 as one of the college’s six governance committees. In 2007 the IEC membership voted to change the name of the committee to reflect the changing vision of the organization.
Mission / Vision of the Committee for Global Learning
TCC holds global learning to be an essential element of undergraduate education that prepares students for the realities of a culturally diverse, technologically engaged, economically interdependent, and ecologically vulnerable world. Our mission is to cultivate an academic culture of global citizenship in which teaching and learning reflect a commitment to examining, understanding, and engaging the world from multiple cultural perspectives.

Each year the Committee for Global Learning is formally charged by the Vice President for Academic and Student Services, Dr. Michael Summers.
