Currently, language scholarships are for students studying in TCC's Spanish program. This month long, language intensive study abroad program involves living with a host family in Costa Rica and attending the University of Costa Rica. Depending on the student's proficiency with the language, there is the opportunity to earn up to 6 hours of language credit at the 200 course level.

Students are encouraged to apply for TCC study abroad scholarships to help defray the cost of participation. In addition to grades and faculty recommendations, students are scored on oral Spanish language proficiency in a group interview with Spanish faculty. Students must have completed at least one full sememster of Spanish to be considered for a scholarship.

NOTE: Language scholarships require a different set of application materials from those required of non language scholarships.
