Student Scholarships for Study Abroad

Tidewater Community College announces the availability of study abroad scholarships for the 2008-2009 academic year. Students must use these TCC scholarships to participate in a credit bearing Tidewater Community College study abroad program. Funds are limited, so apply early!

In addition to scholarships for TCC study abroad programs, students are urged to investigate scholarship programs for semester- and year-long study abroad programs. The Freeman-Asia Foundation, the Gilman Scholarship Program and the David L. Boren Scholarship Programs (listed below) are excellent places to start your search for study abroad funds. Contact the International Programs Office if you would like to discuss arranging a study abroad program.

An excellent resource for information on funding study abroad programs is the Institute for International Education. Diversity Abroad is another great source of study abroad information.

For more information on finding non TCC study abroad programs, including links to program information, financial aid and scholarships, go to StudyAbroad.Com.
