The Associate of Applied Science in Horticulture explores the science and art of plant cultivation and the use of ornamentals in the landscape. Students are prepared for full-time employment in variety of horticultural businesses, including the green industry, landscape design and management, greenhouse production and management, and managerial positions with corporate, commercial and governmental entities; they may also choose self-employment in the field of horticulture. The program is designed for those seeking a career track or for those with prior college credit in another field of study.


Classes offer hands-on, practical experience in the particular area of study. The curriculum allows students to acquire knowledge and skills in other areas that compliment their horticulture studies and furthers their career objectives.
