Programs in horticulture prepare students for entry-level positions in greenhouses, nurseries, floral businesses, or golf courses, or upgrade your knowledge and skills if you are already employed in the field. Graduates find employment in greenhouse businesses, garden centers, florist shops, golf course operations, landscaping and landscape maintenance businesses, and horticultural sales. The programs allow students to specialize in greenhouse management and production, landscape design, or landscape management.
A cooperative education program allows students to earn academic credit and supplement their income while they gain work experience at local sites.
Horticulture courses are offered only on the Chesapeake Campus. Visit the Horticulture website.
