The Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Technical Studies:
Construction Trades/Air Conditioning was developed in conjunction with the
Tidewater Builders Association and local contractors to meet the needs of
the Hampton Roads construction industry.
The Construction Trades/Air Conditioning program
is designed to prepare students for careers in heating, ventilation, air
conditioning/refrigeration (HVAC/R) fields. The program
consists of course work for those interested in employment as HVAC/R systems
mechanics, project managers, sales, quality controls, and similar roles.
Many of the courses from the Certificate in Air Conditioning and
Refrigeration may be applied toward this degree program.
