Transfer Computer Science 880.01
|
The Associate in Science degree with a specialization in Computer Science is designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a baccalaureate degree. This degree meets the needs of students seeking teacher certification in secondary mathematics or computer science.
In addition to the college’s general admission requirements, students are required to complete Student Assessment Program (placement) tests in reading, composition, and mathematics. The college has a required developmental program for students who need to remedy deficiencies in these areas.
Students need to consult with a transfer counselor or academic advisor to plan programs and select electives that will meet the requirements of the college or university that they plan to attend. The Associate in Science (AS) degree normally takes four full-time semesters to complete.
