CLEP Granting Procedures & Exam Information
The Office of the College Registrar does not determine the TCC credit that can be awarded for CLEP. Academic deans determine this. The Office of the College Registrar does post credit for approved CLEP scores. Students seeking credit for CLEP should:

* English Composition, English Literature and Freshman Composition are no longer offered by CollegeBoard. Students who have taken one of these CLEP exams with a score of 50 or higher will be awarded 6 credits of English (i.e., ENG 111 and 112 for English Composition--with or without essay, ENG 111 and 112 for Freshman Composition, and ENG 243 and 244 for English Literature). TCC DOES NOT ACCEPT the College Composition Modular.
** College Algebra-Trigonometry is no longer offered by the CollegeBoard.
*** Students in the Liberal Arts plan will have met the Beginning and Intermediate Foreign Language requirements; however, two (2) additional credits of approved electives must be completed to meet the total credit requirement for the degree.
