contributes to the fight against Breast Cancer.

For 12 years she has been an active participant in the Race for the Cure and other Komen activities and recently participated as a survivor in the Race held in Raleigh, NC at Meredith College.

Too many of us at TCC have had breast cancer. Too many of our families know the disease’s devastating effects. And the statistics are staggering. For 2012, new cases of breast cancer in the US were expected to be 226,870 women (and 39,510 probable deaths) and 2,910 men (410 deaths).

This year, Team TCC hopes to not only win the Largest Education Team award again, but also to win by helping to eradicate breast cancer in Hampton Roads. In addition to your registration fee, please donate a few extra dollars to help the cause.

7:00 – 8:15 am Registration and Packet Pick-up for 5K Competitive Race
7:00 – 8:45 am Registration and Packet Pick-up All Other Events
7:45 am Survivor Group Photo
7:55 am Opening Ceremonies and Survivor parade
8:30 am – Competitive 5K Race – Wheelchair
8:35 am – Competitive 5K Race (chip timed)
9:00 am – Recreational 5K Race (self-timed) run/walk
9:25 am – 1 Mile Family Fun Walk
10:00 am – Kids for the Cure 50 Yard Dash
10:15 am - Circle of Promise Ceremony
10:30 am – Awards Ceremony
10:45 am - 2:00 pm - FREE Race After Party at Neptune's Park with live bands. Refreshments available for purchase

Directions and Parking

Take 264 East to the Virginia Beach Ocean Front. Turn left at Pacific Ave (one street before Atlantic Ave) and continue to 31st Street.

Safety Reminder

For the safety of all participants, our insurance company requests that headsets, inline skates, scooters, and pets not be allowed on the course. For security reasons, strollers/baby joggers are not permitted in the 5K Race.
