| DONOR Recognition
At TCC, we value our friends and donors who invest in the future
of the college and its students. As a way of formally honoring our
most dedicated donors, we recognize them as members of one of our
donor recognition societies.
President’s Council
Comprised of individuals or corporations giving at an annual level
of $2500 or above, the President’s Council recognizes these
donors for their valuable on-going partnership with TCC.
Godwin Legacy Society
The Godwin Legacy Society is named in honor of the late Governor
Mills E. Godwin who was a Hampton Roads native and signed the legislation
creating the Virginia Community College System in 1966. He is considered
the father of Virginia community colleges.
The Society honors donors who have provided for the future of Tidewater
Community College through bequests or planned gifts.
Beazley Society
The Beazley Society is named in honor of Fred W. Beazley whose
gift of 750 acres of waterfront property in Suffolk and one million
dollars, contributed to the beginnings of Tidewater Community College.
It is comprised of donors who have provided transformational support
in the form of gifts and personal commitment to the college.
