As Director of Development, Lara leads the Tidewater Community College Development Team in securing private, corporate, and foundation funding for TCC. She also coordinates the fundraising efforts of the Educational Foundation and represents the interests of both the College and the Foundation to current and potential donors. Lara successfully closed out The Campaign for TCC in 2011 with an historical final tally of almost $12 million, exceeding the original fundraising goal by nearly $2 million.
Lara graduated magna cum laude from Thomas Nelson before earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree from The College of William and Mary, where she received the Benjamin Stoddert Ewell Award for Public Service. Following graduation, Lara served her alma mater as Lead Annual Giving Officer and Reunion Gift Officer. With nearly two decades of service in philanthropic and academic organizations, Lara also supports the fundraising efforts of a broad spectrum of non-profit and community groups.

Elizabeth Aucamp - Development Officer
Elizabeth brings a diverse background to TCC, including 5 years of major-gifts fundraising within the higher education sector and tenure in corporate sales and customer service in both profit and non-profit organizations in the hospitality and medical industries. Prior to joining the TCC Development Office, Elizabeth was the Development Officer for the College of Health Sciences at Old Dominion University. A graduate of TCC, Elizabeth went on to earn a B.A. in Communications, with an Emphasis in Public Relations at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA followed by a M.A in Humanities with an emphasis in Corporate Communications at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.

Daysha L. Clark currently serves as the Communications Specialist for the Development Office at Tidewater Community College Norfolk. A TCC Alum and Phi Theta Kappa honoree, Daysha has produced print advertising, presentation design, and promotional writing for small businesses and corporations throughout Virginia and North Carolina. As a participant in the local arts community, Daysha has organized, curated, and shown work the annual Renewal Group Art Show, and organized charity and outreach opportunities for local artists.

Sheela Cooper is a Database Specialist at Tidewater Community College. Her areas of expertise include marketing, research, data analysis, and publication writing. Her eighteen years of experience include five years in the development office at Norfolk State University, where she served as Director of Development Services. In this role, she managed the fundraising technology infrastructure, as well as prospect research and donor relations. Prior to joining TCC, she was a consultant promoting effective practice and policy efforts designed to increase access to safe, affordable vehicles and credit at fair terms for working, low-wage families. She has worked in several other industries in marketing, research, and data analysis roles.

Ashley Dorey is TCC’s Associate Director of Development, Annual Giving Programs.
Ashley has been in development since graduating from James Madison University in 2006 with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. Prior to joining the TCC Development Office Ashley worked at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters as a Development Officer where she managed special events and corporate partnerships. Ashley worked on several programs and events at CHKD including the annual David Wright Vegas Night, Anthem Lemonaid, and the Employee Phone-a-thon. Ashley looks forward to growing the Annual Giving Program at TCC.

Tami Flowers is an Administrative Specialist for the TCC Development Office. Tami has previously worked in the custom building industry as the Administration Manager of TSP Construction. Prior to that position, Tami was fortunate to be able to take time away from work to spend at home with her two children, Maci and Colby, from 2001 to 2007. Before taking a hiatus, Tami worked for Jantzen Builders, Inc. of Williamsburg, VA, where she started in 1997 and was quickly moved up to the position of Vice President of Administration.
Tami holds a Bachelor of Science degree in BS in Business Administration from Barton College, located in Wilson North Carolina. She has resided in Williamsburg since 1997 with her husband, Jason, and their family.

Donna E. Henderson handles Events and Stewardship for the Office of Development. With over 25 years experience in events management and planning, Donna has worked on a wide range of corporate events and fundraisers in Washington, DC, across the country and around the world. These events ranged from intimate gatherings to gala dinners in many very exclusive settings and included hosting U.S. Presidents, Senators, Congressmen, Governors, Foreign Diplomats, top corporate CEO’s, celebrities and major donors of many cities. Donna and her husband reside in Norfolk.

Ariel M. Hogue is the Database Specialist for the Development Office. Prior to joining TCC, Ariel worked as a Senior Data Specialist at Harris Connect in Chesapeake Virginia. He graduated from Norfolk State University in 2005 with a B.S. in Computer Science - Information Systems. Ariel is a Native of Bronx New York and currently resides in Suffolk Virginia where he serves as the Treasurer for Remington Park Owners Association.

Kieran J. Richardson-Geehan is an Administrative & Office Specialist for the Office of Development. He first joined TCC as a student in August 2009 after moving to Norfolk from his native London, England. Soon after, he began his affiliation with the Development team as a Work-Study student. He currently serves as a Senator for the Norfolk campus Student Government Association and is an active member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society. He majors in Business Administration and expects to graduate in May 2012.

Terry J. Wagner is TCC’s Associate Director of Development, Corporate & Foundation
Terry brings 27 years of professional fundraising experience to TCC, including 14 years of higher education experience directing both comprehensive development programs and corporate and foundation relations for the College of William and Mary, Hampden-Sydney College, and the schools of nursing and social work at Virginia Commonwealth University. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and the College of William and Mary’s Marshall-Wythe School of Law, Terry conducted her own grants management business for 3 years prior to relocating to Hampton Roads and joining TCC in 2012.

Sheri L. Watts is the Office Manager and Direct Support for the Director of Development. After attending TCC, she earned her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies with an emphasis in Marketing and Management from Norfolk State University, with honors. Sheri has previously served in the development arena at Norfolk State University for over 25 years. During her time there she spent 16 years with the finance department, and 2 years as a member of the support team for the President of the University. Sheri also worked with Norfolk State’s University Advancement, where she contributed to a major gifts campaign as well as several fundraising and community related initiatives.
