Math 240   Statistics

Math 240 is a general introduction to statistics for students in all academic areas.  We study the basic principles of descriptive and inferential statistics with a brief discussion of probability. We also want to develop an awareness of the uses and abuses of statistics in everyday life.

Note to the New Online Student:
The same material that is covered in the on campus class is also covered in the online class. This course demands time, computer literacy, and the ability to work independently. Some students need the instructor to stand before them and explain the material and some are fine reading notes and examples from text and the Web. Before registering for this course make sure you are sufficiently prepared for the demands of  this course.

Mr. Scribner,
