ACC 212
Principles of Accounting II
Course Outline
This is a sample course outline. The course outline for a face-to-face class
will be distributed during the first class session. The course outline for an online class will be mailed to the
student’s home._____________________

First Test = 20% Second Test = 20% Third Test = 20% Take Home Quizzes = 15% Computer Quiz = 5% Final Exam = 20% |
A = 100% - 90% B = 89% - 80% C = 79% - 70% D = 69% - 60% F = Below 60% |
|
Students will be allowed to
re-take ONE test (either the first test, the second test, or the third
test). If a student is absent on the
day of a test (for any reason), the make-up of that test counts as the
re-take of that test. Students will
NOT be allowed to make-up or re-take a test after the last regularly
scheduled class period for the semester. Each take home quiz is due
NO LATER than the class after the quiz is distributed. Quizzes will not be accepted late. The lowest quiz grade will be dropped. For online students, the quizzes must be returned
to me via email on or prior to the date listed on the course outline mailed
to the student’s home. |
Attendance:
|
Since students taking
Principles of Accounting II online are not required to attend class, I will
not require students in face-to-face classes to attend class. However, I do STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you
regularly attend class. Students that
attend class regularly generally perform considerably better in this class
than students who do not attend. |
Tardiness:
|
Roll will be taken at the
beginning of each class. In order to
be counted present, students must be in class on time. Students that arrive late to class are a
disruption for other students. If
students are habitually late to class, I reserve the right to refuse to allow
them to enter the class late. |
Leaving Prior to the End of Class:
|
Students who leave the
classroom while the class is in progress create a disruption for the rest of
their classmates. Therefore, students
are requested not to leave class for nonessential activities such as buying a
soda or talking to a friend. If you
have a real emergency and must leave while class is still in progress, please
do not return to the class prior to the end of the class or prior to the
class break. |
Cellular Telephones and Pagers:
|
Please turn off all
telephones, pagers, or anything else that makes noise PRIOR to entering the
classroom. |
Withdrawals:
|
If a student wants to
withdraw from the class with a grade of “W,” it is the student’s
responsibility to complete and submit the proper withdrawal forms to the
college. The last day to withdraw and
receive a grade of “W” is specified in the college catalogue. |
Disabled Students:
|
If you qualify as a
disabled student under the Americans With Disabilities Act, please bring your
disabilities form to me, and I will gladly provide you with the assistance
necessary. If you don’t have a
disabilities form or don’t know if your can be classified as a disabled
student, please contact the disabilities office at TCC. |
