In support of the mission of Tidewater Community College, the Learning Resources Centers are a part of an academic and community resource team providing intellectual and physical access to all forms of recorded knowledge. Library Instruction Sessions Schedule a customized library instruction session for your classes. A librarian will teach your students how to most effectively use the services and resources they need to meet the information and research needs of the course. In addition to database training and instruction on avoiding plagiarism, we can teach your students how to evaluate the validity and quality of information they find online and elsewhere.
Collection Development The library’s collection contains resources in print, audio, video, and electronic format to support the courses, curricula, and mission of the college. Library materials include books, newspapers, magazines, journals, media, electronic databases, and worldwide web resources. Please let us know of any materials you would like to recommend to the library. We rely on your expertise in your field to make the best judgments regarding our collection.
