University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks 4 used a robot that essentially consisted of 4 separate robots, but they surprised the field by using a remote control in the center of a track to synchronize the dumping of the balls.  The robot also was controlled using a Lego RCX processor.  The audience was impressed by the clever use of the remote!
