Your Library Collection

are able to request materials that you need so they will be in the
library when you need them.
- Patrons are a diverse group and provide a diverse list
of materials they would like to see on the library shelves.
- Faculty are experts in
their fields and provide professional insight into whether materials
are updated and current.
- Faculty are knowledgeable about what courses are being taught and
what materials are needed to support those courses.
- Faculty who participate in building a library collection know what
assignments, based on library holdings, will provide learning experiences
for students.
- Library staff working with patrons, especially at the Circulation
Desk, know what patrons are looking for but not finding.
