An A-Z of Food and Drink- Over 1,300 entries from absinthe to zabaglione, this dictionary reveals the origin, meaning, and development of a host of gastronomic terms.

A Dictionary of Food and Nutrition - This dictionary is intended for anyone who enjoys food and would like a handy, non-technical guide to the terms they encounter on food labels, in advertising, or in the media. With entries on food groups as diverse as shellfish (abalone, whelks) and condiments (mignonette, salsa) and clear explanations of technical terms such as hyperalimentation and Zeocarb, the dictionary is the most comprehensive of its kind.

Tastings - This is the site of the Beverage Tasting Institute, an organization founded in 1981 with the objective of producing fair and impartial wine reviews for consumers. The site provides some information about beer and spirits, but primarily focuses on wine. Users can access a food and wine matching guide, wine reviews, a wine dictionary and more. The site provides the ability to search for wine, beer and spirits as well.

Food Safety Streaming Videos - From the Public Health Website of Seattle and King's County, these streaming videos cover a variety of food safety topics. Although some include Washington state-specific material, most are general and applicable nationwide. Real Player is required to view streaming video and high-speed Internet connection is recommended.
