Help
students improve the quality of their sources, read professional
literature relevant to their classes, and avoid the frustration
of information
overload by scheduling a library session:
Library instruction sessions provide an introduction to the

components of FLASH information literacy objectives such as - Defining the need
for information
- Selecting from
a variety of sources
- Understanding
research terms and concepts.
- Locating sources
using the library catalog, indexes, databases, etc.
- Effective use
of key word or subject search techniques
- Evaluating sources
- Citing sources
- Responsible use of information
- Access electronic
resources from off-campus.
