Searching the Virginan Pilot LRC@TCC
Searching in LexisNexis Academic
- Open LexisNexis Academic
- Click on the Sources tab in the black bar at
the top of the screen
- Locate the Virginian Pilot
- Click on Search This Title
Guided News
Search
- Open LexisNexis Academic
- Click on the Guided News Search tab
- For step 1 choose U.S. News
- For step 2 choose Southeast Regional Sources or Virginia
News Sources. If you want to search only the
Virginian Pilot click on Source List, check Virginian
Pilot, and "paste to search"
- For step 3 enter your search terms and in the drop
down box(es) identify the search fields (headline, full
text, author, etc.)
- For step 4 select date (goes back for all available
dates)
- For step 5 enter Virginian Pilot if you want only
the Virginian Pilot. If you did "paste to search"
in step 2 you should see the Virginian Pilot already
listed.
- Run search
From the title
list of databases click on
LexisNexis
Academic.
