Civilian access to military bases

If you have registered for courses being held at these military installations and you do not have a valid military ID card, you must do the following at least 7 working days before your first class. You may be denied access to the military installation if you fail to complete these steps.

  1. Obtain a temporary access pass from the installation’s Pass and Identification Office. The process to obtaining a pass includes a background check, which takes 5 to 7 business days (excluding federal holidays). You must bring the following items:
    • A valid government-issued photo identification (driver’s license, state-issued ID card or passport)
    • A valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance if you plan to drive and park on base.
       
  2. Pick up your student base ID card and vehicle access pass (if applicable) 1 working day prior to your first class.
