With nearly 30 years of proven accomplishments in workforce development, community outreach and program development, Theresa Bryant represents TCC in economic development activities, customizes training for area businesses and coordinates contract training for the military. Prior to joining TCC, Bryant served as interim vice chancellor for workforce service for the Virginia Community College System. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in English from Mississippi University for Women and an M.B.A. from Columbus State University. She was awarded a 2007 Women in Business Achievement award from the area’s business newspaper. |

Al Koon joined TCC in 1975 after a career in the Navy as an electrician and communications technician. Using the LabVIEW operating system, Koon designed innovative software to bring cutting-edge virtual technology to the college’s electronic engineering technology program. His expertise in electronics has evolved from maintaining early TVs, projectors and VCRs for TCC to working closely with students – including custom programs for military servicemembers – in today’s complex electronics. As an associate professor and program head for electronics engineering technology he also owns and operates a computer consulting business, designing and installing computer systems. |

Founding dean of TCC’s division of health sciences, Linda M. Rice served as director of respiratory care at Maryview Hospital prior to joining the college in 1977. At TCC, she has served as program director for respiratory therapy, chair of the academic division for health science technologies and special assistant to the president for military affairs and community outreach, before becoming vice president for workforce development where she honed her skills in partnership building. Rice holds a B.A. from Randolph Macon Woman’s College and an M.S. in adult education and a Ph.D. in urban services from Old Dominion University. She completed professional training in respiratory therapy at the University of Chicago. |
