Iain McKaig has co-authored and written several publications, including Propagation of Magnetoacoustic-Gravity Waves in a Horizontally-Stratified Medium: IV. Kinematics, Astrophysics and Space Science, A Dirichlet Problem with Applications to Solar Prominences, Astronomy and Astrophysics, and Solar Prominence Magnetic Configurations Derived Numerically from Convection, Astronomy and Astrophysics. He holds a B.A. in mathematics and computer science from Virginia Wesleyan College, graduating magna cum laude, and a Ph.D. in computational and applied mathematics from Old Dominion University. His doctoral dissertation was titled Mathematical Models of Quiescent Solar Prominences.
