|
American Sign Language (ASL) instructor Star Grieser serves TCC and the region as an expert in deaf culture and communication. A native signer and deaf herself, Grieser has firsthand knowledge of the benefits and nuances of ASL. Gov. Tim Kaine appointed her to the advisory board of the Virginia Department for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Grieser holds a bachelor’s in professional and technical communications from Rochester Institute of Technology and is working on her master’s in deaf education at McDaniel College in Maryland. |
