Susan Boland has over 18 years of teaching experience at the college level and holds an M.F.A. from Old Dominion University. She has developed programs to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to Japanese executives and writing and pronunciation for NASA. She earned her B.A. from New School University and an M.A. from George Mason University. |

Ann Louise Johnston, acclaimed in her teaching of English and English as a Second Language (ESL), received TCC’s Professor of the Year Award for 2006. This highly prized peer award established by the TCC faculty recognizes excellence in teaching. She has published articles in international journals on Mongolian literature, Turkish dialects, ESL pedagogy and the history of American English. A former Fulbright scholar in Turkey, she is also an award-winning photographer and avid quilter. Johnston holds both a B.A. in German and an M.A. in English from the University of Michigan, as well as an M.A. in linguistics and a Ph.D. in general linguistics, English and Turcology, both from Princeton University. |
