Bio:

Founding director of TCC’s international student services program and serving a population from over 30 countries, Jeanne Natali has over 13 years’ experience in international education. Her innovative leadership in international education has garnered national recognition for the college and in 2000, the American Council on Education (ACE) recognized TCC as one of eight institutions with exemplary international education programs. In 2002, the college won ACE’s Promising Practices: Spotlighting Excellence in Comprehensive Internationalization, and in 2004, the college won an International Intercultural Achievement Best Practices award from the American Council on International Intercultural Education. She holds a B.A. in English from California University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. in English from Old Dominion University. Natali earned her Ph.D. in urban services and urban education at ODU where she researched economic and higher education reform issues in modern Vietnam |

Bio:

Tom Calogrides serves as a training officer for the Virginia FEMA Disaster Medical Assistance Team and has volunteered with Operation Smile since 1994, planning, developing, implementing and teaching healthcare programs in eight countries. He received the 2005 Governor’s Award for Outstanding Emergency Medical Services Pre-Hospital Instructor in recognition of his contributions to Virginia’s emergency medical services educational program development. As an EMS professor at TCC, Calogrides leads both basic and advanced life support courses and assists in program curriculum development. Since 1993, he has also worked as a paramedic provider for the Nansemond-Suffolk Volunteer Rescue Squad. Calogrides holds both a B.S. and M.S. from Old Dominion University. |

Susan Boland has over 18 years of teaching experience at the college level and holds an M.F.A. from Old Dominion University. She has developed programs to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to Japanese executives and writing and pronunciation for NASA. She earned her B.A. from New School University and an M.A. from George Mason University. |
