Terry L. Jones’ 36-year career at TCC includes serving as vice president for college transfer education, dean of the college’s humanities and social sciences division, dean of instruction and student services.. Prior to assuming these administrative posts, he taught history at TCC for 16 years. His leadership as Portsmouth Campus provost has brought about the successful First College, a partnership with public schools that starts high school seniors on the road to college. Jones earned both his A.B. and M.A. in history from Samford University and completed his Ph.D. in religious history at Vanderbilt University. |

Mike Summers’ 22 years of teaching, administrative and executive leadership experience spans service at three community colleges. Summers served as vice president for education at Greenville Technical College (GTC) – a large, complex, multi-campus institution in a dynamic and growing region of South Carolina – prior to joining TCC. His executive leadership in academic and student affairs at GTC included extensive experience in the accreditation process, including the new model recently adopted by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Prior positions include division chair for technology and information systems, and director of correctional center programs, both at Danville Area Community College, and associate professor at Black Hawk College. Summers holds a B.S. from the University of Illinois, an M.Ed. from Western Illinois University and an Ed.D. from the University of Illinois. |
