Invites TCC to Deliver Retail Operations Program on Site;

Alliance Members Can Get 50% Tuition Scholarship
NORFOLK, Va. – (Dec. 17,
2003) – Two new facets have emerged in Tidewater Community College’s
Retail Operations program, with spring classes starting Jan. 12:
~ Greenbrier
Mall has welcomed TCC to deliver the Retail Operations program
on site. The courses will be offered in the Cinema Cafe at Greenbrier.
~ Any member
of Retail Alliance, the regional retail association serving 2,100
Hampton Roads business members, can obtain a 50-percent tuition
scholarship offered by the Alliance for TCC’s Retail Operations
program.
Designed in cooperation with
Retail Alliance, the TCC program focuses on preparing skilled employees,
future managers and leaders of the retail business sector. The
11-course career-studies program, launched in fall 2002, helps employers
provide staff with technical skills for job entry, as well as educate
and train current employees to upgrade their knowledge and advance
their careers.
TCC, with more than 30 years
in workforce preparation for South Hampton Roads, is uniquely qualified
to provide training and services that organizations need to gain
and maintain their competitive edge.
Retail Alliance, founded
in Norfolk in 1903, is a regional retail association and Equifax
sales agent offering 40 business service products to 2,100 Hampton
Roads business members. Products and benefits include credit reports,
pre-employment screening tools, collection services, workshops,
and local and statewide lobbying.

Tidewater
Community College is the second largest of the 23 community colleges
in the Commonwealth of Virginia, enrolling more than 34,000 students
