HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – (July 21, 2004) –
New Virginia legislation provides eligibility for in-state tuition
at public colleges for spouses and children of active-duty military
personnel in their first year of assignment in Virginia. This
benefit can result in substantial student savings for military
families from out of state. At Tidewater Community College, in-state
tuition is $63.70 per credit hour while out-of-state residents
pay $209.65 per credit hour.
TCC will host open houses for military families
at all four campuses July 28 and 31 to explain the new in-state
tuition benefit and how to apply for it.
Military Family Open Houses:
Wednesday, July 28, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and
Saturday, July 31, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
