INTRODUCES BIRD CAMP FOR KIDS
Collaborative program with Elizabeth River Project, Zoo, Audubon
and Butterfly societies
CHESAPEAKE, Va. – (June 28, 2005) – Tidewater Community
College is pleased to announce its first-ever Bird Camp this summer
for children ages 8 to 11 on the Chesapeake Campus. The one-week
nature camp will be held Aug. 1-5, 8 a.m.-1 p.m. The cost per
child is $50 to cover the cost of materials and supplies.
Children will learn the basics of bird watching, the importance
of wetlands and bird anatomy through the experience of outdoor
settings and in the TCC biology lab.
Bird Camp is a collaborative project with TCC, Elizabeth River
Project, the Virginia Zoo, the Virginia Beach Audubon Society
and the Butterfly Society.

Tidewater Community College
