HAMPTON
ROADS, Va. – (April 7, 2005) – Tidewater Community
College received four awards in the National Council for Marketing
& Public Relations (NCMPR) Paragon Awards competition. A gold
award was presented to TCC for its outdoor advertising campaign,
and two silver awards were presented for radio advertisement/public
service announcement series. TCC also won a bronze award for color

NCMPR received 1,753 entries from 286 two-year colleges across
the US, Canada and a few from the United Kingdom.
NCMPR’s Paragon Awards recognize outstanding achievement
in communications at community, junior and technical colleges.
It’s the only national competition of its kind that honors
excellence exclusively among marketing and PR professionals at
two-year colleges. The 2004 winners were announced on March 15,
2005, at NCMPR’s annual national conference in Minneapolis.
