April 1, 2014 — High school students and their families are invited to an open house at Tidewater Community College on Saturday, April 26.

All four of TCC's campuses - Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach - will be open from 9 a.m. to noon. Students will be able to apply to TCC; learn about financial aid, grants and scholarships; tour the campuses - which all feature student centers; explore academic programs; and learn about student life.

"We want to make sure graduating high school seniors and younger students know that TCC is the fastest, most affordable and most convenient way to a career or a four-year degree," said Charles Lepper, vice president for student affairs. "That's an important message for parents, too."

TCC has transfer agreements with many in-state schools, public and private, that allow a student to complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree and then finish at a four-year school. In addition, programs prepare students for in-demand careers in health care, information systems, the maritime industries and many other fields.

For information, directions, maps and registration, visit Students who pre-register by April 25 and attend any open house will become eligible to win an iPad.

If you have questions, call the TCC Information Center at 757-822-1122.
