TCC INVITES ACTORS TO AUDITION FOR MACBETH
Macbeth will be this summer’s Shakespeare in the Grove

HAMPTON ROADS, Va. – (Feb. 24, 2009) – Tidewater Community College will hold auditions for its 2009 Shakespeare in the Grove production of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth on Saturday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Actors must make an appointment to audition by contacting theatre program head Ed Jacob, 822-5245 or EJacob@tcc.edu. Candidates should come to TCC’s Chesapeake Campus, Pass Building, prepared to give a short (less than a minute) memorized Shakespearean monologue (required). Each audition will take approximately 5 minutes.

This year’s Shakespeare in the Grove will run June 24-28 in the Grove, Chesapeake Campus, and then July 1-2 at the TCC Roper Performing Arts Center, Norfolk. The annual, ever-popular, free production attracts thousands each summer. Call TCC’s Information Center for more information, 822-1122.
