FOCUS Sessions
View Session Dates
FOCUS sessions are conducted by an advisor and last about 4 hours. There are 4 parts to each session:
- Group presentation
You will be given information about how to be more successful in college along with —
• the results of your assessment tests
• the TCC catalog
• information about financial aid
• information about tuition rates
• information about expectations of college students
• information about enrollment
• calendar of important academic dates
- Campus tour
You will be shown the locations of the —
• various academic and student support services available for free on the campus
• science labs, regular classrooms, places to study or just hang out
- Academic advising
Services include —
• advice about which courses you must take based on the assessment tests
• advice about other courses required in your program of study (curriculum)
- Enrollment
How to —
• access the Student Information System (SIS)
• access the online class schedule
• select course sections for your classes
• enroll in classes
It is very important that you complete your assessment tests prior to signing up for a FOCUS session.

Please select a session on your primary campus of enrollment. VIEW SESSION DATES AND TIMES.
When you reserve your space in a FOCUS session either by email or phone call, please include the following:
1. Your name
2. SISID number
3. Primary campus
4. Date and time of preferred FOCUS session - schedule
5. Provide choices of sessions in order of preference 1, 2 and 3.
