ODU Instant Decision Day - By Appointment Only

Are you finishing your associate’s degree Fall 2018 and plan to transfer to Old Dominion University Spring 2019? Sign up for an appointment to participate in ODU’s Instant Decision Day scheduled on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Chesapeake Campus.
During your appointment, the ODU advisor will evaluate your academic transcript(s) and provide an instant decision regarding your admission status. In order to participate, you must meet the following requirements and complete the following tasks:

1. Be on track to finish your associate’s degree with a 2.3-2.5 or higher during the current semester

2. Apply to ODU no later than October 13, 2018
a. Pay $50 admissions application fee to ODU

3. Obtain a hardcopy of your official academic transcript from all previously attended institutions to include TCC
a. Obtain an official hardcopy TCC transcript for $5 from Enrollment Services. The transcript must be ordered from Enrollment 3-5 days prior to pick-up. Do
not open the transcript(s) as they must be sealed.

4. Schedule the next available appointment by emailing Rhonda Goudy at rgoudy@tcc.edu;
a. Appointments are scheduled sequentially in 20-minute increments beginning with a 10 am appointment and concluding with a 4 pm appointment. Please submit several different appointment options if possible.

This 2-hour workshop, 1 hour of English and 1 hour of math, provides a review of the basic skills assessed by the Virginia Placement Test. The English portion covers essay writing and reading comprehension. The math portion covers concepts such as exponents, fractions, word problems, and equations.
