Job fairs can be one of the best ways to meet with many different employers in one place on a given day.  Be prepared to network with representatives from local companies, various City, Federal, and State agencies offering career opportunities in a wide variety of fields.

Please dress professionally, bring multiple copies of your resume, and be prepared - "A Successful Job Interview Means - Congratulations You're Hired!

Need Help?:  Get information on preparing a resume, the interview process and completing an employment application. Also, students and graduates may have their resume critiqued by contacting the Student Employment Services Office, Virginia Beach Campus, Kempsville Building, Room D-105, (757) 822-7228. Office Hours: Monday & Tuesday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; Wednesday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Appropriate Attire Required!
For Men: Conservative, two-piece business suit (solid blue or dark gray is best); white or blue shirt; a subdued tie of medium width; shined conservative shoes.
For Women: Conservative, skirted suit in a subdued color; a solid color shirt-waist dress with a blazer; neutral-colored hose; shined conservative shoes.
Definite Yes's: Clothes clean and pressed; well groomed hairstyle; great personal hygeine.

Absolute No's: Excessive jewelry; strong perfume/cologne; immodest hem or neckline; string or bow tie; worn heels; boots; cell phones; gum, candy or cigarettes; minimal use of make-up.
