Compressed Video Network (CVN)
The Compressed Video Network (CVN) is a method of synchronous distance learning which is helpful for students who are able to meet at the same time but are unable to meet in the same place because they live too far from campus, have medical conditions that make travel difficult or impossible, live in a community where no comparable course is available, or prefer the medium. Courses taught via CVN are two-way real-time video and audio, also known as interactive television. Classes and programs taught via CVN can be received by and sent from any other college within the VCCS. Each of TCC's campuses has a CVN classroom.
