NON-TCC F - 1's ENROLLING AT

MULTIPLE INSTITUTIONS
(NON-TRANSFERS)

 

If you are already in the U.S. in F-1 status and studying at another SEVIS approved school, and you wish to remain a full time student at your current school but you would like to enroll at TCC in 1 or 2 classes during either the Fall or Spring semesters or the Summer session, please review the following information.

Please read the requirements listed below very carefully.

 

 

BEFORE YOU APPLY

  • Incomplete or unacceptable documents will delay the admission process.

  • All submitted documents become the property of Tidewater Community College. PLEASE MAKE PERSONAL COPIES BEFORE YOU SUBMIT YOUR DOCUMENTS.

  • Please submit the required documentation to any campus Admission Center, not to the International Student Services Office.

Submit the following documents to any TCC campus Admission Center:

 

  1. TIDEWATER COMMUNITY COLLEGE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

    This document must be completed and signed by the applicant.


  2. COPY OF MOST CURRENT FORM I-20


  3. COPIES OF YOUR F-1 VISA, FORM I-94 AND THE IDENTIFICATION PAGE OF YOUR PASSPORT


  4. COPY OF YOUR MOST CURRENT UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS**

** If you intend to enroll in a TCC class that has pre-requisites, you may need to meet with a TCC academic counselor to review your current school transcripts for enrollment eligibility. You may also need to demonstrate English proficiency by taking TCC's ESL Placement Test.

 

 

 
 

This school is authorized under Federal Law to enroll non-immigrant alien students.

F-1 visa students at Tidewater Community College may only enroll in classes required for the course of study listed on the form I-20 that are located at TCC’s four comprehensive campuses (Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Virginia Beach) and the Visual Arts Center. (Please note: students may continue to enroll in one 3 credit online course per semester to count towards full-time enrollment.)  Enrollment in classes at any off-campus location is not permitted, and is considered to be a violation of status. There is no exception to this policy.
